BAEO Quality Principles (DOC)

In keeping with the BAEO mission to increase quality educational options for Black children, BAEO developed a set of principles to guide the design, implementation and evaluation of quality educational programs. These principles were first shared during Symposium 2005 where we received a positive response from participants about the value, need, and potential impact the principles could have upon your work.

Gates Small High Schools

In 2003, The Black Alliance for Educational Options (BAEO) submitted a proposal to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation seeking a five-year grant of $4,000,000 to sponsor the development of 15 small, project-based high schools on the EdVisions and/or Big Picture Company models that focus on accomplishing the following objectives:
